When you sign in with Google OAuth, we collect:

Your Google profile picture

1.2 Images You Upload

Original SketchUp renders you upload for processing
AI-generated photorealistic images created by our service
Lighting parameters and optional descriptions you provide
Associated metadata (upload timestamps, thread organization)

1.3 Usage Information

Threads and generations you create
Credits purchased and consumed
Features you use and when you use them

1.4 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect standard web server logs:

IP address (used for security and service delivery)
Browser type and version
Device information
Pages visited and timestamps

We use essential cookies to:

Keep you logged in (authentication)
Maintain your session state

We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

We share your information only with:

3.1 Google Gemini AI

Your uploaded images are transmitted to Google's Gemini AI service for processing. This is essential for transforming your renders into photorealistic visualizations. Google processes these images according to their AI Products Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

3.2 Infrastructure Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate SketchViz:

Vercel: Hosts our service and stores your images in blob storage
Supabase: Manages your account data, authentication, and database
Google OAuth: Handles secure authentication

These providers access only the information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or legal process, or to:

Comply with legal obligations
Protect our rights, property, or safety
Prevent fraud or abuse
Respond to valid government requests

4. Data Retention

4.1 Images

Both original and AI-generated images are retained indefinitely to maintain your generation history and allow you to access past work at any time.

You can request deletion of:

Specific images or threads
Your entire account and all associated data

4.2 Account Data

Account information is retained while your account is active
Thread metadata and generation records are kept to provide the service
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes

4.3 Deletion Process

When you request account deletion:

Your account information will be permanently deleted
All your images (original and generated) will be permanently deleted
This process is irreversible

We will complete deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

Encrypted transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
Secure authentication: Google OAuth 2.0
Access controls: Row Level Security (RLS) ensures you can only access your own data
Secure storage: Protected blob storage with access tokens
Regular monitoring: Security updates and monitoring for threats

However, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. While we use reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 Access

You can view all your uploaded images, generated visualizations, and threads within the SketchViz interface at any time.

6.2 Correction

You can update your account information (name, profile picture) through your Google account settings.

6.3 Deletion

Individual content: Delete specific images or threads through the SketchViz interface
Complete deletion: Request deletion of your entire account and all data by contacting hello@sketchviz.app

6.4 Data Portability

You can download your images directly from SketchViz. For a complete export of your data, contact hello@sketchviz.app

6.5 Withdrawal of Consent

You can stop using the service and request data deletion at any time.

We will respond to privacy requests within 30 days.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws.

By using SketchViz, you consent to the transfer of your information to:

United States (Vercel, Google services)
Other regions where our infrastructure providers operate

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for these transfers.

8. Children's Privacy

SketchViz is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a child without proper consent, we will delete it promptly.
